To be honest the webbing straps seem a bit flimsy. I’ll see how it works on a coat. It doesn’t expand as wide as i’d hope but hopefully it should hold up to at least a couple of trips?

The metal ring can be opened to permanently attach to a loop, and there’s a male/female clip pair with a tightening clip so you can wrap it around a coat for example then tighten it down.
